In conjunction with the autumn's election, the Museum of Värmland shows the exhibition "Propaganda - Risk of Impact".
At the Värmland Museum, "Propaganda - Risk of Impact" is displayed during the fall, in connection with the election.
The purpose of the exhibition is to make visitors better source-critical, able to review and question information that will make us feel hate and create prejudices against others. The ambition is also to strengthen people's ability to stand up for all people's equal worth.
The exhibition critically discusses thinking, propaganda and source criticism, both from a historical perspective and what it looks like today. Visitors can, among other things, learn about how the "good society" was formed in the Nazi and Soviet propaganda during the 1930s and 1940s.
Other content bits are today's media society, what controls media flow and how susceptible people are for influence. Visitors are also encouraged to reflect on the manipulative messages they encounter in their daily lives.
