The UN Global Goals and annual meeting of Inclusive and Healthy Cities Commission in Karlstad, Sweden.
During the 29th and 30th of October Inclusive and Healthy Cities Commission have carried out annual meeting in Karlstad, Sweden.
Guests from Finland, Lithuania and Poland with Swedish hosts participated in agenda which was concentrated on United Nations Global Goals for sustainable development. What are the Global Goals? What is the Commissions input to the Global Goals implementation? Which goals are the most vibrant at the moment for the commissioners? What kind of experiences comes from commission members cities in the fields described by Global Goals? These questions were the starters for the discussion and exchange. The participants had also occasion to visit Karlstad’s institutions which operates in the field of inclusion – Meeting Point Galaxy and Safety Team in Family Support Department. These two where great examples how Karlstad Community is dealing with support services which aims at building networks between organisations, institutions, leaders and new citizens (Galaxy) and how with use of modern methods secure children from abandonment, rage, violence and how to take over steering the process of overcoming crisis in the families.
