CREST (Creative Repurposing of Educational Spaces for Innovative Student-centred Environments) project partners’ final meeting, together with European conference was held in Brussels on 23-24 November 2022.
Evaluation of the project, its implementation and results – management, partnership, intellectual outputs, outcomes, promotion and dissemination, as well as a plan for the follow-up activities were the topics of the closing meeting on 23 November.
At this meeting the participants had also a brainstorm on final version of the Policy recommendations for the public authorities to support participatory processes in terms of repurposing of public buildings and civic spaces.
On 24 November the European conference within the project was organised by Out of the Box International (BE). The aim was to disseminate information about the project and its intellectual outputs.
Marko Paunović, Out of the Box International, Belgium, opened the conference.
Tomaž Deželan, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, the leader of CREST introduced the project.
Igor Kalinic, Head of Sector, Competitiveness and Internationalization, from European Innovation Council and SME’s Executive Agency, European Commission, delivered a speech on Affordable Housing Initiative.
New European Bauhaus, from concept to action, was presented by Borut Cink, New European Bauhaus Unit, Joint Research Centre, European Commission.
Marina Batinić, Culture Hub Split, Croatia, CREST project partner, made a presentation on participatory approach for creating sustainable spaces – case study PROSTOR.
