City of Hamburg was a host of the 90th UBC Executive Board meeting, held on 22 June 2023.
The meeting was opened by UBC President Mantas Jurgutis.
A welcome speech and presentation of Hamburg was made by Dr Stefanie Wodrig, Officer for Baltic Sea Cooperation.
The meeting agenda included inter alia: programme of the XVII UBC General Conference to be held in Palanga on 24-26 October 2023; 14th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region with UBC as co-organiser, Riga, 4-5 October 2023; introduction of the Baltic Sea Strategy Point in Hamburg.
UBC has also accepted Ukrainian cities: Kramatorsk, Vyshhorod, Pokrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson as Associated Cities.
The UBC Commissions made presentations on their activities in 2023.
The meeting was followed by the study tour in the Port of Hamburg.
