The Sztywny Pal Asia group was founded in early 1986 by the guitarist and the main creator of the repertoire, Jarosław Kisiński, Leszek Nowak, Paweł Nazimek, Janusz Deda and Andrzej Turek. The first success of the band was at the Festival in Jarocin in 1986, where the band presented a pop-rock style with a punk flavor. The group qualified for the “golden ten”, and the song “Nasze reggae” became the unofficial anthem of the event. A year later, the debut album of the band entitled “Europa i Asia” was released. The greatest hits from this album, “Meeting with…” and “Tower of joy, tower of loneliness” very quickly found themselves on high places on the Third Program Charts. Ryszard Wojciul made a guest appearance on the album, and soon after became a member of the band.

“Tower of Joy, Tower of Solitude” in 2014 was recognized by listeners as the most important Polish song of all time (7th Polish Top of All Time). On the other hand, the latest album of the band Sztywny Pal Asia, entitled “Jestem tu po to”, was released in 2022 and met with only positive reviews – both from fans and critics.
