“Again and again. As always. Encounters with unknown acquaintances.” People from Greifswald – portraits and interviews
Over the years, the question “As always?” became a greeting and eventually a ritual in photographer Raymond Jarchow’s regular café. The employee doesn’t know his name, but she does know that he is the “middle cappuccino to drink here”. They are acquaintances unknown to each other, as anyone who is out and about in the city and is attentive and open to encounters in Greifswald: on the Wall, the market square, in Lange Strasse, at the city harbor. These unknown acquaintances are part of the feeling of being at home in a place. In his current project “Immer wieder – Wie immer | Begegnungen mit unbekannten Bekannten”, Raymond Jarchow wants to give some of these acquaintances a face and a voice in portraits and interviews.
