UBC Smart and Prospering Cities Commission and Kiel Region will host a workshop as part of the Regional Conference 2024, on 6 September 2024 in Kiel.

The title of the workshop:  What Makes Regional Cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region Successful?

The following key questions will be addressed:

• What are the three biggest challenges facing cities and regions today?
• What goals should be achieved through international cooperation?
• How can successful international cooperation in the Baltic Sea region be implemented?

The following speakers will try to answer these questions:

• Wolfgang Schmidt, Chairman of the UBC Smart and Prospering Cities Commission
• Christian Lausten Sørensen, Economic Advisor to the Mayor of Aarhus
• Benjamin Holst, Director of Business Region Aarhus
