Music from the green island
The Patrick’s Hat band was founded by two musicians – guitarist Mateusz Otczyk and violinist Piotr Mach in 2011. In the first years of cooperation, it was a musical and travel project, in which the musicians searched for a common, unique sound, and this is how the first arrangements of music from the “Green Island” were created. Over time, the band was enriched with a double bass and a drum set, giving a full picture of the presented pieces. In the band’s repertoire, we can hear characteristic melodies of Irish music modeled on the most outstanding artists of this genre. The musicians have been cooperating with the dancers of the Treblers band for many years , thanks to which they bring the listener even closer to the musical uniqueness of this region.
The concert at the Słupsk Philharmonic will be a unique musical event – not only for music lovers, but also for artists. The Patrick’s Hat band will present music from the green island accompanied by the orchestra of the Polish Philharmonic Sinfonia Baltica named after Wojciech Kilar , conducted by Maciej Banachowski , who is also the author of the orchestral arrangements.
