Kirkkonummi will celebrate its 700th anniversary on 21 March 2030. The anniversary will bring together the local history, today’s community and the future trends. 

The anniversary will be built in cooperation with residents, communities and companies, because Kirkkonummi has always been a place where vitality emerges from cooperation.  

The date of the anniversary is based on a medieval finding: Kirkkonummi (Kyrkioslaeth) is mentioned by name for the first time in a document in Latin dated “in die Beati Benedicti”, on Saint Benedict’s Day 21 March 1330.
