The Session will take place on 19 June 2026 in Kiel, Germany during the Waterkant Festival 2026.
Against a backdrop of geopolitical instability, growing societal polarization, and rapid advances in artificial intelligence, cities are facing increasingly complex governance challenges. The programme includes contributions from:
- Samet Yilmaz, Mayor of the City of Kiel
- Tiit Terik, Deputy Mayor of the City of Tallinn and former Minister for Culture of Estonia
- Lene Hartig Danielsen, Head of Citizen Services, City of Aarhus
- Matthi Bolte-Richter, Managing Director, IT-Verbund Schleswig-Holstein
The session will be followed by an informal exchange and networking opportunity with participants from across the Baltic Sea Region.
