The Mayor of Rostock wrote a letter of support to all partners and co-operating cities calling for solidarity in the time of COVID-19 pandemic.

dear Friends,
The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting all of our cities, our families, our businesses, communities and our way of life. The circumstances and the time of uncertainty added additional responsibilities upon us and yet it opened more space to creative energy than any other time in recent history. Moreover, this moment reminds us that we are all connected like never before.
We are called upon to be our best selves, with patience, understanding and compassion. I am truly inspired by the selfless healthcare workers and civil protection assistance around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need.
Dear friends, during this time, I wanted to reach out to you and on behalf of the City of Rostock and myself personally, express the words of support and understanding. I would like you to know, that we are committed to being your partner today and preserving together in all the days and years ahead.
I wish us all health and strength to overcome all the challenges that are ahead of us!
