A festive jubilee event will take place on Friday, July 17 at 2 pm at the Maardu Leisure Center, where active city residents, civic associations will be thanked and young winners of creative competitions dedicated to the 40th anniversary of Maardu will be awarded. The live broadcast of the festive ceremony can be watched on the website www.mkik.ee and on the Facebook page of the Maardu Culture and Information Center.
During the anniversary week, the city will also host a festival of dance and vocal groups in Maardu-F-Estonia, the gala concert of the best performers of which can be watched online on July 18 at 1 pm on the website www.mkik.ee and on the Facebook page of Maardu Culture and Information Center.
The celebration of the city's 40th birthday culminates on Saturday, July 18, with family events taking place in both Muuga and Kallavere.
