"It was July 1945" - a film by Waldemar Czechowski

"It was July 1945" is a film reconstruction and at the same time a story about the greatest, after Katyn, Polish tragedy, which happened two months after the end of World War II in Augustów. The film features the last surviving witnesses of the tragedy of July 1945. The film also tells about the fate of the families still awaiting the news: "where are the bodies of the victims of the NKVD and MO". It is also a tribute to brave people and their difficult history taking place against the backdrop of an extremely beautiful land: the Suwałki Region.
