Kaunas - European Capital of Culture for 2022

As Kaunas holds the title of European Capital of Culture for 2022, the spotlight will be kept on “Kaunas 2002” programme.
Three main events of the Programme of “Kaunas 2022” Trilogy will feature more than one hundred separate events: premieres, exhibitions, concerts, and fire and light shows that will all
be connected through the sharing of a new Kaunas myth:

1st Act: The Confusion (19-23 January 2022)
2nd Act: The Confluence (20-22 May 2022)
3rd Act: The Contract (25-27 November 2022)

Modernism for the Future 360/365, an international exhibition ( January 22 – April 10, 2022)
The presentation of William Kentridge's exhibition That Which We Do Not Remember January 21 – November 30, 2022)
Yoko Ono's retrospective exhibition The Learning Garden of Freedom ( January 22 – September 11, 2022 )
Marina Abramović's exhibition Memory of Being (March – July 2022)
