A monument of Zigfrīds Anna Meierovics to Latvia

To mark the centenary of the State of Latvia, a monument to Zigfrīds Anna Meierovics will be unveiled in the old town of Tukums. With this initiative, the municipality of Tukums honours with pride the link that this town and municipality has with one of the founders of Latvia — Z. A. Meierovics.
The first Minister for Foreign Affairs, a delegate at the Constitutional Assembly and a multiple Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia — these were the official positions of A. Meierovics during the period from 1918 until his death in August 1925.
The location of the monument to Z. A. Meierovics is symbolic. It is spot in the heart of the town, in the old part, close to the Freedom Square and the school, where the prominent state official studied — in the plaza near the intersection of Lielā and Jaunā streets.
