Co-create the programme of the XVII UBC General Conference in Palanga

UBC has always been about connecting, of making decisions together, even through struggling times. Despite the 30 years’ experience the UBC has, these past years have tested us as an organization, with first the global pandemic and then Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine and its people. We will meet again in Palanga, Lithuania, at the XVII UBC General Conference to be held on 24-26 October 2023.

The conference will bring us together to discuss how to integrate the Ukrainian and other refugees from war-torn countries, how to support Ukrainian cities and their eventual reconstruction, and last but not least, what role the UBC could play in the process of the future EU accession of Ukraine. Moreover, energy security, youth involvement and digital transformation will be on the agenda.

As usual, the conference will be a forum for your ideas! You are welcome to submit proposals for workshops. While the topics are yours to choose, we suggest proposals which allow interactive discussion instead of being filled with (too) many speakers.

Please note also, that UBC Executive Board wants to emphasize the role of youth – we want to listen to the voices of tomorrow. We appreciate if proposals for workshops/round tables include possibility to include youth representatives as speakers/panelists.

We would appreciate if you could send your preliminary proposals by 15 March 2023.
