Erasmus+ project IN-HABIT the Kick-off meeting

The Kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+  project IN-HABIT was held on 28-29 January 2026.

The IN-HABIT project aims to foster inclusive housing solutions by strengthening the capacity of housing professionals, service providers, and local authorities to better support people with disabilities. UBC is a partner in this project.

On the first day the project partners overviewed all Work Packages, the deliverables, timelines and risk management and then the next steps.

The second day was an online public event IN-HABIT: From policy to practice in affordable and inclusive housing for persons with disabilities.

The representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament addressed the issue and referred to the Affordable Housing Plan.

Various experts from different institutions, organizations and countries presented the current policy landscape. 

The topics included:

  • The Irish National Housing Strategy for Disabled People
  • Social housing for people with disabilities – voluntary standards, challenges and way forward in France
  • Lessons from the Housing-First model in Finland
  • Skills, Capacity, and Service Delivery in the Disability Sector: A Hungarian Provider’s Perspective
