The 11th season of Kino na Szekspirowskiego, Gdańsk’s most beautiful outdoor cinema with views of the Main Town’s tenement rooftops, kicks off at the end of May. The screenings are inspired by the famous “rooftop cinema” screenings that take place on New York City’s rooftops. The program features top-tier films—the most interesting titles that have won awards and accolades at major international film festivals, such as Berlinale, Cannes, Sundance, and Venice. Oscar-winning films, European Film Award winners, Golden Globes, and BAFTA winners will be screened. Throughout the season, 45 screenings will be held in this unique setting. Screenings will primarily take place on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, just after dark, around 9:30 PM, depending on the month.
