The Rossini Strings open the series of chamber concerts, which will continue to take place in the Rostock Art Gallery. The special string quartet – unlike the classical quartet, it includes a double bass – has music from its namesake Gioachino Rossini in its repertoire. Works by Kurt Weill, George Gershwin and Leonard Bernstein as well as the composer, jazz pianist and producer Lutz Gerlach are also in the program.
