In December, a grand concert at the “Great Amber” Concert Hall will bring together the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, the Latvian Radio Big band, and guest soloists to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the legendary conductor, music educator, and arranger Jēkabs Ozoliņš. Having devoted his life to shaping and developing the musical life of the city of Liepāja, Ozoliņš has long been one of its leading artistic figures and its spiritual heart.
