“The project will recall the long tradition of painting plein airs in Ustka, with particular emphasis on the figure of Jan Cybis.

This outstanding painter, participant of the Paris Committee, long-time professor of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, visited the city many times (August 1949, August 1962, July and August 1967). His “Painting Notes. Diaries 1954-1966” prove that at that time he usually painted a series of watercolours. It is from this publication that the title reflection on changing “colour constellations” comes from. Thanks to this historical context, my artistic residency is part of the nationwide celebrations of the centenary of the establishment of the Paris Committee.”
