The performance will feature Frédéric Chopin’s Piano Sonatas No. 2 and No. 3. Piano Sonata No. 2, Op. 358, consists of 4 movements. The third of these is also known as famous “Mourning March”. The work is complex and one of Chopin’s greatest achievements. Piano Sonata No. 3, Op. 58, is one of the composer’s later and most mature works, offering the listener both drama and calm introspection.
