Classical Masterpieces – Mozart, Brahms

May will begin in the Polish Philharmonic Sinfonia Baltica named after Wojciech Kilar in a classical way – the Słupsk orchestra will present the Violin Concerto by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68 by Johannes Brahms. Brahms began writing his first symphony when he was only 30 years old, but he did not finish it until fifteen years later in September 1876. Such a long time in the creation of the work was most likely due to two factors: Brahms’s high self-criticism and the desire to meet the expectations of the audience and the composer’s friends, so that he would continue the “Beethoven legacy”, which was associated with great pressure.
