Your experts

Silja Suntola is a long-term professional in the creative sectors with background in music and arts management. She is currently working with international RDI projects at the Creative Industries Research Unit at Xamk University of Applied Sciences.

Lari Sirén was the project manager for the Creative Ports project 2019-2021. Working for the Goethe-Institut he steered the project and coordinated the partnership and its actions. He is currently working as the Operations Director for Built Environment in the municipality of Sipoo in Finland.

Adiam Tedros currently holds the position as head of Unit of development programmes at the Swedish Institute, a government agency with the task of promoting interest and trust in Sweden. Her responsibilities include overseeing 25 + leadership programmes targeting young talents globally.

Egbert Rühl has been managing director of the Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft since 2010, a municipal company promoting the Hamburg creative industry. He is responsible for the practical support as well as the development of a strategy for improving the framework conditions of the creative industries in the Hanseatic city and to establish networks between its various submarktes and other actors from business, politics and society.

Together with top level experts from Baltic Sea Region we will take a deep look at the current state of the Cultural and Creative Industries in the Baltic Sea Region and gain insights into the project Creative Ports and its tools. Together we’ll discuss its results, recommendations and impact on the development of larger, international networks for companies in the creative and cultural sectors.

Creative Ports is a flagship project of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, funded by the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme. Creative Ports aims to improve and encourage collaboration between the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) actors of the participating countries and to further develop strategies and processes around internationalisation.
