DUSTIN O’HALLORAN
American pianist and composer Dustin O’Halloran is known both as a solo musician and as a member of the ambient music group A Winged Victory For The Sullen.
Dustin O’Halloran gained wider popularity as a composer of motion pictures – Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette (2016), Garth Davis’s Lion (2017). In 2015, he won an Emmy Award for the music for the series Transparent, and this record was also nominated for the Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA and Critics Choice awards.
In 2019, Dustin signed a contract with the classical music label Deutsche Grammophon, in which the latest solo album Silfur (2021) flows through time and space in the compositions. It also includes previously released compositions rearranged in new arrangements. At the concert in Cēsis, we will hear compositions from the album Silfur performed by a piano, cello and violin trio.
The concert in the “Cēsis” concert hall is his first concert in Latvia and the only European tour concert in the Baltic States.
