Come and see the fantastic glass produced at Trelleborg’s glass industry (1919-1955) and Skånska glassworks (1955-1957). The glassworks was the last in a series of companies founded by Trelleborg’s great industrialist Johan Kock. Experienced labor was imported, including from Småland, as there were no glassmaking traditions in the city. They produced thermoses, simple household glassware such as canning jars, elegant glass tableware, and the straps that became one of their best-selling items. There is a variety of glass types, colors, shapes, and techniques – an impressive production spanning four decades.
