Why do some choose to leave, others to return, and others find their homes in Lithuania? This award-winning exhibition of the Panevėžys Regional History Museum invites you to look at migration not through statistics, but through the true stories of people.

The exposition has been intertwined with the experience of different periods – since the 20th century. Panevezys region intellectuals such as Vladas Rasčiauskas, Petras Būtėnas and Aleksandra Kalvėnaitė-Kazickienė, to today’s stories of emigrants, returnees and immigrants. Each story reveals different choices, challenges and connection with home.
