Fake News v/ Vincent F. Hendricks

2025-02-06 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

‘Fake News’ as a term has been known since around the end of the 19th century, although the phenomenon itself is of course probably about as old as humanity itself. But it is with the spread of social media, and in particular Donald Trump’s entry onto the political world stage, that ‘Fake News’ has really come to everyone’s lips.

But what exactly is ‘Fake News’? Who is spreading it – and why? What impact does it have on the cohesion of society? And is it actually a threat to both Denmark’s and the EU’s democracy as we know it?
You can learn all this, and much more, when Professor of Philosophy at the University of Copenhagen, Vincent F. Hendricks, gives a lecture on ‘Fake News’.
