We are thrilled to share that the Laukiai Oak, a magnificent 400-year-old tree from Rukai village, Skuodas district, Lithuania, is competing for the European Tree of the Year title!
This oak is more than just a tree – it is a living witness to centuries of history, a silent guardian under whose branches six generations of the Laukiai community have grown. Recently, the community restored the area around the oak and celebrated its quiet strength, reminding everyone how much nature and local heritage can bring people together.

Now, the Laukiai Oak has the opportunity to be recognized across Europe – and we need your help! Your vote and support are vital in showing the world the strength, unity, and care of our community.

• Voting is open from February 2 to February 22.
• Each person can vote once using their personal email address.
