At the exhibition we will see black and white shots of the port area taken by Wiesław Prażuch – a well-known artist photographer and photojournalist.
Wiesław Prażuch was a member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers. In the years 1951-1969 he worked as a photojournalist in the “Świat” weekly. In 1975, on his initiative, the quarterly “Fotografia” was established, of which he was the editor-in-chief until its closure in 1989. Wiesław Prażuch was the initiator of photographic exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He took an active part in the International Photo Salons, winning medals, awards, distinctions, diplomas and congratulatory letters.
Photos of Darłówko were presented for the first time in 1955 in the weekly “Świat” (no. 33) as part of the photo reportage “In a small port”. The author showed the port in Darłówko on them, creating a rich record of the everyday life of its inhabitants, people associated with the sea.
