Speaking music is on offer at the Senior Citizens’ Week chamber concert, where the Pori Quartet, consisting of players from the Pori Sinfonietta, will perform both as a string quartet and with pianist Laura Vänttinen. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of composer Maurice Ravel, and the concert will feature his String Quartet in F major, which was one of Ravel’s first breakthrough works as a composer.
