Farewell to the previous year and in the New Year, the LNSO has always been versatile, and this time we have invited the American opera house operative Julie Bulouk and the gospel choir of the Riga Dome Choir School under the guidance of the conductor Christian Reif. At the concert of the year, we will honour the many facets of American music culture, starting with the works of classics – Bondsa, Gershwin and Bernstain – and continuing with the music of contemporary composers, who have brought to the forefront the honoring and light of the cultural heritage of Africans. This year we will celebrate the holiday vigorously, soulfully, warmly and especially sonorous.
