Photo Exhibition

2025-02-07 to 2025-03-07

Animals occupy a very important place in our lives. Some of them live in our homes, are loved and cared for, and having become family members, they give us a sense of happiness and closeness. Others are raised not only out of love, but also for the food they provide: eggs, milk, meat… Still others live freely near our homes, in our neighborhood, or enjoy freedom in the wild, and we are happy, at least from afar, to see some wild animal or bird.

2022 has been declared the Year of Animal Welfare. However, any year can be dedicated to animal welfare. Kaunas School of Applied Arts organized a photography student competition to draw attention to animals. The best photos from the competition were selected for an exhibition. In them, the participants convey the human relationship with animals, observe the environment with a keen eye and capture both close to us and wildlife living in the wild.

We invite you to both admire and ponder whether we always maintain a relationship with living creatures: you and I – of the same blood.
