The seminar of the UBC Planning Cities Commission will be held in Elbląg from 29 September to 2 October 2026.

This year’s theme, “Redefining Elbląg City Centre: City Centres in Transition – Are the High Streets Declining?”, addresses one of the most pressing challenges facing cities across the Baltic Sea Region and beyond. As urban lifestyles continue to change and shopping habits evolve, public spaces compete with either shopping malls or digital alternatives and city centres are being reimagined in new and unexpected ways.

The seminar will offer engaging discussions, opportunities to share experiences, practical insights, and valuable networking possibilities.
