The traditional start of the summer season at the seaside resort is ushered in every year with the Warnemuende “Spring Shore Leave” or also called “River Awekening”. There are many attractions between the “Alte Strom” (“Old Branch of the Warnow River”) and the lighthouse, and a varied entertainment programme for old and young can be experienced. Artisan craftwork and culinary delicacies are presented on the promenade along the Alte Strom. Cabaret and musicians also provide melodious entertainment.
