Wimme Saari is one of the most internationally renowned performers of the Sámi joik tradition, while Tapani Rinne is a bass clarinetist and pioneer of electro-jazz with an extensive international career. He is perhaps best known as the leader of the group RinneRadio.

The two musicians share a deep interest in folk music and have released eight albums together. Wimme Saari’s joiks draw the inspiration from various elements of nature, while Tapani Rinne creates rich textures using bass clarinet and electronics. Whenever Wimme and Rinne join forces, the atmosphere has a strong feeling of a mystical voyage.
