On July 17, in order to look into the laws of chemistry, physics and geodesy, interested persons are invited to the “Science Picnic” in Struve Park. Within the framework of the event, specialists of the Jekabpils History Museum and the Latvian Geospatial Information Agency will provide a more insight into the history of the surveying of the Struve geodetic arc. Under the guidance of specialists, interested persons will be able to work with modern geodetic measuring instruments. The event will also be enriched by the “Science Zone” experiment show and various creative workshops. Families are specifically invited to the event.
