Session: Cities’ engaging with young people & Implementation of EUSBSR
The UBC will hold a virtual session Cities’ engaging with young people & Implementation of EUSBSR during the 3rd “EU Macro-Regional Strategies Week”, taking place on 7-11 March 2022.
The UBC event will be organized on Wednesday, 9 March 2022 from 11:00-12:30 CET.

Scope: Every democratic community demands active participation of citizens input in shaping the reality they live in. The main aim is to foster discussion on how the cities can develop policy mechanism and tools and collect young people’s ideas. The speakers will present new participatory models and technologies used in scanning and stimulating inclusive democratic processes the local level shaped by the pandemic trends, more emphasizing online participatory models.
The main questions that remain are:
– Is an active youth participation essential for the implementation of regional strategies?
– How can we encourage youth to engage and contribute within the EUSBSR though cities?
– Can AI replace traditional ways of political engagements in a regional context?
The workshop will invite several key regional and local stakeholders to share their experiences and create recommendations for inclusion of the youth in the regional policy dialogues.
