The Soundtrack of Our Lives – Conventum Club 700
The Soundtrack of Our Lives was formed in Gothenburg in the mid-90s as a kind of supergroup with members from Union Carbide Productions, Nymphet Noodlers, Whipped Cream and Mindjive. The single “Instant Repeater ’99” from 1996 became a huge hit and the debut album “Welcome to the Infant Freebase” earned the band a Grammy for Newcomer of the Year. Soon The Soundtrack of Our Lives’ notoriety grew beyond the country’s borders, not least the Gallagher brothers took Oasis’s liking and took the Soundtrack on tour. The third album “Behind the Music” led to a minor breakthrough in the USA and in 2002 they were nominated for a Grammy in the Alternative rock category. Last year the band – Ebbot Lundberg (vocals), Ian Person (guitar), Mattias Bärjed (guitar), Martin Hederos (keyboards), Kalle Gustafsson Jerneholm (bass) and Fredrik Sandsten (drums) – was elected to the Swedish Music Hall of Fame and earlier this year they did their first gigs together in over ten years.
