On September 6, Valmiera Run 2026 will take place in Valmiera, returning the autumn running festival to the city. Start and finish at the Vecpuišu park, track through the streets of the city, and distances for everyone: 5 km, 10 km and children’s race.

Until a few years ago, the autumn half marathon and marathon in Valmiera was a strong tradition that gathered runners from all over Latvia in September. In recent years it has been silent, and this is what two Valmieras, for whom running is a passion: the long-distance runner of the Latvian national team Agate Caune and the ultramarathoner, the founder of the sports nutrition brand MUST GO EPIC, Arturs Kažmers. Their goal is to revive the tradition of the Valmiera autumn race and create an event where both experienced athletes and those who will run their first 5 km in Valmiera meet.
