On August 7, 2025, a long and powerful concert was held in the village of Uuri to celebrate the termination of the activities of the popular single-village band Uurikad. The audience had gathered for a thousand and the ovations did not want to end. At the same time, the main organizer of Viru Folk, Peep Veedla, had the idea that this event deserves to be celebrated, and at the end of the concert, an invitation to celebrate the anniversary of the closing concert at Viru Folk in exactly one year’s time was announced.
