International Crisis Management Conference
No Fear of the Dark: preparing for energy shortages together
Vienna City Hall, May 6-8, 2024
In 2023, the International City Network for Crisis Management (ICNCM) teamed up with the Union of the Baltic Cities (UBC) for a European project to connect their knowledge and experience on enhancing the resilience of Cities and their population when facing crisis.
The Cities of Vienna, Ljublijana, Rostock and Liepaja are therefore excited to invite you to join the next International Crisis Management Conferences in May 2024 in Vienna as part of the Connecting Resilient Cities project.
The conference will focus on preparing for energy shortages with specific regard to communicating with a city’s population with limited technical possibilities. Despite this, if you want to present an important topic that the group can learn from, you are welcome to present it.
Participation in the conference and the accompanying programme is free of charge, while the conference participants must cover travel and accommodation fees. Usually two representatives per city participate in the conference.
For a successful organisation, we would like to kindly ask you to respond by 18th of March by filling out the registration form: https://forms.gle/Xbhk6PUdMw3EwaFP6
Since the 90ies, the International City Network for Crisis Management (ICNCM) has provided a network in which capital cities and regions of Europe could cooperate effectively in matters of disaster prevention and crisis management, providing a basis not only for mutual exchange of experience but also for mutual aid and assistance in case of actual disasters.
