BERAS International Foundation is searching for actors among UBC cities that may be interested in or have good practice to contribute to its work with promoting a food system that is both healthy and ecologically sustainable.
“Diet for a Green Planet Flagship” is currently a Project Initiation financed by the Swedish Institute with the aim to build a Flagship in Bioeconomy in EUSBSR. The concept has been successfully implemented by several cities and shows a holistic way to address climate change, eutrophication and loss of biodiversity and at the same time improve health, personal motivation and rural development. However, it requires efforts in education and human development since the realisation takes local culture and the full complexity of local conditions into account.
On 2 December 2020 a webinar is to be held that will be of interest to actors who are working in the food sector.
