A meeting of representatives of the Lithuanian member cities of the Union of the Baltic Cities took place in Kaunas on 28 July 2020.
Representatives of UBC city members from Kaunas, Palanga, Panevėžys, Tauragė cities and Klaipėda District attended the meeting. The most important issues like the changes that have been implemented and are planned to be implemented in the UBC organization, its future vision and strategic plan were considered during the meeting. The coordinators discussed the question of how this community of cities benefits its members.
The President of UBC Mr. Mantas Jurgutis presented the topics that were discussed during the Executive Board meeting on 17 April, as well as the first meeting of the national coordinators. The coordinator of the UBC office in Brussels Mr. Marko Paunovic joined the meeting remotely and introduced activities planned for the near future.
President Mantas Jurgutis strongly encourages the cities to organize their national meetings either in person or online, in order to discuss the ongoing changes in the organization, the future vision and other important issues.
