Pärnu Film Festival

The Pärnu International Documentary and Anthropology Film Festival, founded in 1987, is the oldest of its kind in the Baltic countries. The initiators of the festival was the writer and president of the Republic of Estonia Lennart Meri and documentary film maker Mark Soosaar. The aim of the festival in general is to support cultural survival of peoples. Only documentary films and videos of high value and quality, recording human activities in social, historical or ecological context are accepted for competition screenings.

Pärnu Hanseatic Days

Good Food Festival – Grillfest

Grillfest takes place on the beautiful meadow by Vallikääru in Pärnu in June, every year. For two days, 300 caterers from Estonia and abroad serve their best fare. We have outdoor restaurants, cafés and even a pet restaurant. You can enjoy the Good Food Fair, the national fishing championships and food preparation competitions; a large and exciting play area is available for children. The festival has performances by excellent artists on various stages; music styles offer something to every taste. Both days of the festival end with magnificent fireworks.

Pärnu Organ Festival

Musicians offer an exciting and enjoyable festival for organ music enthusiasts, centred around the two organs of the Pärnu Eliisabet Church. The performers include musicians from Estonia and guests from abroad. Organ concerts take place throughout summer from the beginning of June until the end of August on Friday evenings at 8 pm.
 

Plant Fair of Pärnu

The annual Plant Fair of Pärnu, on Vallikäär meadow is meant for trading goods that are related to plants and gardening: seeds, young trees and plants, honey, garden tools, garden furniture, garden sculptures etc. Besides selling and trading, we hope to have a pleasant gathering of different arboretums and garden-supplies sellers from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and elsewhere.

RäimeWest herring festival

People measure time in these parts by the herring catch - which breathes new life into the village after a long and tiring winter. The smoke rising from ovens, the boats puttering through the water and the calls of seabirds are inseparable parts of the landing of the catch. The festival that accompanies it showcases coastal fishing and local fish culture for fishermen, locals and visitors alike.

Pärnu Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week is a long tradition that started in the USA almost 20 years ago. The first Restaurant Week in Estonia took place in 2011. During the Pärnu Restaurant Week, you can learn about the restaurants representing extremely diverse styles, as well as the wonderful chefs who work there. We hope that the Restaurant Week helps you learn more about the many restaurants in Pärnu! During the Restaurant Week, participating restaurants offer lunches and dinners at a special price (2-course lunches and 3-course dinners).

Concert series MUSICA SACRA

MUSICA SACRA is a concert series of Pärnu professional musicians, which aim is to perform Pärnu composers’ music, give Pärnu interpreters the opportunity to accomplish artistically vivid concert programs, engage high-level guest musicians and bring concert projects out of Pärnu.
The concerts take place on Saturdays at four o’clock in Elisabeth Church in Pärnu.
