UBC Cultural Cities Commission on-site meeting, will take place in Kaunas, Lithuania on 21–22 April 2026.
The meeting is hosted by the City of Kaunas and organised together with the current Chair City Espoo. It will focus on the implementation of the UBC CCC Action Plan 2026, discussion about the development of the commission’s strategy for the coming years, and exchange of ideas on how arts and culture can strengthen resilience and a sense of belonging in cities.
The programme will connect with the Nordic Days in Kaunas, giving participants the opportunity to engage with a wider cultural and educational programme. On Wednesday afternoon, members are invited to join the Educational Forum “Development of Social and Pedagogical Innovations in Education”, exploring the role of creativity, culture and education in shaping future skills for children and young people.
The programme includes cultural activities and time for informal networking with colleagues from across the Baltic Sea Region.
