Training programme on behavioural insights and energy efficiency

Energy Behaviour Forum is an initiative of the European Commission. The Forum supports local and regional authorities in promoting energy-efficient behaviour. It serves as a knowledge sharing platform where local and regional authorities can exchange experiences related to energy efficiency projects and awareness campaigns. It provides tools, good practices and capacity training for local and regional authorities to help them build effective short-term, medium-term, and long-term strategies, initiatives, and projects.

The Energy Behaviour Forum’s  training programme on behavioural insights and energy efficiency is designed for public authorities and related organisations interested in applying behavioural insights to improve energy efficiency and citizen engagement.

The second cohort will run from May 2026 to September 2026, and according to estimation it will require approximately 4 hours per week.

The training programme includes:
•             A kick-off webinar to introduce the group and programme
•             A practical masterclass on behavioural strategies
•             Peer-learning sessions to develop your pilot project
•             An in-person retreat, including expert support and site visits
•             A final session to share your results and connect with others

Participants will have the opportunity to develop and test their own pilot projects, with guidance from leading experts and a community of peers.

Deadline for applications: 2 April 2026.
