UBC SCC Commission meeting, the first one this year face-to-face, will be held on 1–3 December 2021 in Greifswald, Germany.
The theme of the event will be “Sustainable Cities: Trends and Challenges in the Baltic Sea region” and a wide range of urban sustainability topics such as energy-efficient urban planning, smart mobility as well as sustainable land use in the context of biodiversity and climate adaptation will be covered over the course of three days. In addition to presentations and discussions on the versatile approaches to the urban sustainability based on the achievements of the UBC cities and the new UBC Sustainability Action Programme 2022 - 2030, the agenda also includes site visits around the beautiful host city of Greifswald. As the Commission meeting will be held face-to-face this time, all safety and hygiene standards and precautions will be strictly followed. Please also note that the organisers reserve the right to change the event format to digital in case of strengthened restrictions and/or a ban on holding mass events.
