UBC cities are invited to join an online meeting of the Youthful Cities Commission on 3 December 2020, 14.00-17.00 CET.
The UBC Youthful Cities Commission has spent most of this year analyzing its previous operations and discussing possible improvements. This summer all member cities of the UBC were invited to fill in a questionnaire about their experience in the Commission. Based on its findings, two future workshops were held in October to explore how structure, communication, content focus and external partnerships of the Commission, as well as youth participation in its work could be improved.
In order to explore the results of the workshops and agree upon the roadmap for the Commission for the upcoming year, an online meeting of the Commission is scheduled on 3 December. We invite both the cities which have been previously active in the Commission and those which are willing to explore the possibilities it provides to join us online.
As it might be complicated for youth representatives to join a meeting on a workday, we have planned a separate youth event on 28 November. It will focus on preparation of recommendations (from young people’s perspective) that will be presented during the meeting. Those young people who have previously participated in Commission’s events and newly appointed youth representatives are particularly welcome.
The agenda of the events is attached. In order to register, please follow the link: tinyurl.com/ycc20
