The Award was established jointly by the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), the International Cities of Refuge Network (ICORN) and the City of Gdańsk. It is granted for courage and excellence in the promotion of freedom, solidarity and equality – the values that late mayor Adamowicz cherished.
This is the third edition of the Award. The first laureate of the MPAA was the Lord Mayor of Cologne, Henriette Reker. The laureate of the second edition was the City of Michałowo, Poland.
Deadline for submission is October 31, 2023.
